Support our work

Give to the work as a whole.

Your gift helps fund household water systems, training and education support in rural Nepal. Donations currently support the charity’s work as a whole, rather than being assigned to an individual project.

One giving route, several areas of work.

Water security, practical food-growing skills, life-skills training and scholarships are the charity’s activity areas. Their descriptions and budgets show the kind of work we support; choosing a link from a program page does not earmark your donation.

CanadaHelps handles the donation form, payment and Canadian tax receipt. You will see our registered name, Friends of Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN), Canada, and business number 726232531RR0001.

What support makes possible

These budgets give a sense of the scale of our work. They are project examples, not donation packages; gifts of any size support the charity as a whole.

2026 water project · Agreed budget

C$20,802 for 11 household systems

The project combines 4,000-litre rainwater storage with household treatment, hygiene education and garden support in five Okhaldhunga communities. This is the whole project budget, including associated support, not the price of tanks alone.

Scholarships · Initial planning estimate

C$340 toward two scholarships

The initial plan sets aside an estimated C$340 in total to help two rural students with tuition and other education costs. Individual awards and the costs they cover depend on students’ circumstances; this is not a fixed annual price per student.
